al.ive body is an Australian-made range of home, body, and baby products with a designer edge. Created by interior designers (and sisters) Alisa and Lysandra, al.ive body blends function with aesthetics. Their products seamlessly integrate with your living space, while giving it an elevated look that regular home and personal care products can’t.
Since it was founded, al.ive body has grown to be widely recognised for its iconic interlocking bottles, seen in many homes, boutique hotels, and restaurants across Australia. To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we chatted with Alisa and Lysandra, founders of al.ive body.

Q&A with Alisa and Lysandra
Why did you decide to create al.ive body?
We wanted to bring something unique to the home and personal care space, products that are not only beautiful and thoughtfully designed but also environmentally conscious. As designers, we saw a gap in the market and an opportunity to merge style with sustainability, creating a brand that enhances everyday routines while being mindful of the planet.
What’s your favourite thing about the business you’ve created?
We love that we’ve built a brand that resonates with people and fits seamlessly into their lives. Seeing al.ive body products in so many homes, knowing they bring both function and beauty to everyday moments, is incredibly rewarding. Plus, getting to work on something we’re passionate about every day is a privilege.
What’s it like being a female business owner — especially with your sister?
It’s an amazing journey, and doing it together makes it even more special. We each bring different strengths to the table, and while running a business with family can have its challenges, we’ve found a balance that works. At the end of the day, we trust each other completely, which is invaluable in business.
Is there a milestone at al.ive that you’re most proud of?
There have been so many, but some of our proudest moments come from seeing how much the brand has grown and the incredible feedback we receive from our customers. Expanding into new markets and continuing to innovate while staying true to our values is something we’re really proud of.
What’s one piece of advice you have for women in business?
Believe in yourself and your vision. There will always be challenges and moments of doubt, but staying confident in your ideas and surrounding yourself with the right people makes all the difference. Resilience, adaptability, and trusting your instincts will take you far.
What do you do to support women in the workplace?
We’re passionate about creating a workplace where women feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. From leadership opportunities and professional development, we offer what our team needs to thrive.
What can al.ive customers look forward to in 2025?
We have some exciting product launches coming up this year. Including unveiling a highly anticipated product that has been years in the making very soon, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.
